Even though I am taking my classes at NCI, we are governed by the same social work code of ethics as every other BSW program. The program is not any easier, but it’s close to home with a flexible class schedule so that working moms and dads can graduate.

I would highly recommend the Longwood program at NCI if you want a college experience but would like to stay close to home. Here, you are a real Longwood student. I have gotten a lot of the same college experiences that my friends who went away to college are getting.
NCI has assisted me tremendously in reaching my career goals. Without NCI, I would be unable to attend college, work, and be a mother. I never thought I could get my Bachelor’s degree, but NCI is making that possible. Now, thanks to NCI, I have a new set of goals to work towards.
Because of NCI's convenient location and scheduling of classes on nights and weekends, I was able to complete my Master's Degree without leaving Martinsville. Now, I am returning to pursue an endorsement to further my career in public education.
I have been blessed with many wonderful staff members, instructors, and classmates at NCI who have helped me in my efforts to finish my degree. Because NCI empowered me to “Stay close and go far,”
I never felt like I was a number in the classroom at New College Institute. With the help of the New College Institute and its valuable resources and faculty, I have been able to receive a four year bachelor’s degree without paying a single penny out of pocket.
The impact of NCI on my life has been significant. This institution provided me a path to obtaining an undergraduate degree. Something I never thought I would possess.
My participation in this program has provided a rich and rigorous educational experience for enhancing my personal and professional development.
With a full-time job, a family, and many community obligations, I could not have earned my master's degree without the convenience and opportunity offered by New College Institute.
