MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Michael Palmer, IT Manager for New College Institute, recently joined the Board of Directors for the Southern Piedmont Technology Council (SPTC). He will serve a 3-year term as a board member. “This will be a great opportunity to network and see what others in our region are doing with technology so that we can collaborate and learn together,” said Palmer.
“Michael is a great asset to SPTC as we strategically focus on our mission of convening and supporting technology partners throughout Southern Virginia. His expertise in instructional technology and direct connection to New College Institute will benefit SPTC’s current and future members,” said Melany Stowe, SPTC Board President.
SPTC is a member based organization consisting of technology companies and advocates throughout Southern Virginia including Danville, Martinsville, Franklin County, Halifax County, Henry County, Mecklenberg County, Patrick County, and Pittsylvania County. Their mission is to further the economic vitality of the Southern Piedmont region by developing and promoting the region’s technology resources.
