Applications for the fall internship program at New College Institute (NCI) are now available online. A new version of the online application allows students to create a profile and search for available internship opportunities posted by local employers.

Similar to the popular summer internship program, the fall internship program allows college students to apply jointly with local employers in order to receive funding for a complete internship experience.

“The fall internship is the ideal opportunity for students living locally as they complete their degrees to secure employment upon graduation. Selected interns working with local employers will gain work experience to supplement their classroom education, build their professional skills and, link themselves to possible career opportunities,” said Katie Croft, NCI Coordinator of Experiential Learning.

Employers that are interested in hosting an intern can also benefit from the new online application to create internship postings and attract qualified students for the spring, summer, or fall internship programs.

“We thank local employers for allowing students to gain meaningful work experiences year-round through NCI’s internship programs. Not only do the students benefit, but employers also win by test driving talent and increasing workplace productivity. Cost savings for employers are made possible through NCI’s financial support for selected NCI interns,” said Croft.

Selected interns who participate within the NCI Fall Internship must fulfill 160 working hours and are compensated $12.50 per hour, for a total of $2,000 over the course of the program. The investment from employers is typically $500 per intern.

Applications for the fall program opened on August 27, 2014, and the deadline to apply is September 26, 2014. Selected applicants will be notified by October 3, 2014. Fall internships will take place between October 6 and December 31, 2014. The application can be accessed here.
