Running for Redemption

March 22, 2018 @ Building on Baldwin
Time: 5:30 PM

Think that opioid addiction can’t happen to you or your family? Think again.

Think addiction is something that can’t be conquered? Think again.

Overcomer Dick Beardsley shares his story of defeat, addiction, and redemption.

In 1982, Dick Beardsley became one of the most famous runners in the world for losing the Boston Marathon by 2 seconds.

After retiring from elite running, he had a series of near fatal accidents that left him addicted to prescription pain killers. He recovered from each accident but all the while, his addiction deepened.

After several years of spiraling addiction, Beardsley finally prevailed and has celebrated continuing recovery and sobriety since 1997.

His story of overcoming extreme obstacles speaks to anyone who has survived catastrophe or who has pursued a seemingly impossible goal. Dick's life is a story of hope and redemption.

Free to attend;
