Colorectal Cancer Roundtable

October 6, 2017 thru October 6, 2017 @
Time: 8:30 AM - 2:45 PM

This event will include a discussion on the nationwide initiative to reach an 80% colorectal cancer screening rate by 2018. Together, we’ll explore some of the factors and barriers that impact screening.

We’ll also focus on best practices for screening, development of community partnerships, available tools and resources, and a plan of action to increase screening in our communities.

Everyone is invited as it will take the support and collaboration of many—including hospitals and health systems, community groups, primary care practitioners, employers, insurers, gastroenterologists, nurses,
navigators AND MORE—to reduce the burden of colorectal cancer in Virginia.

iPhone Training

NCI's IT Manager, Michael Palmer will be leading an instructional iPhone training for beginner-level users. He will demonstrate basic functions and provide advice for maximizing use of your smart phone. This training is free to attend, but participants must bring their own iPhone. Please note that this training is designed for Apple iPhones only and will not include instruction on Android or other phone models.
