An engineering summer camp for middle school students to explore different types of engineering through several hands-on, team-based design projects

What is engineering and what do engineers do? In this camp, we will explore the important role engineers play in our world, which includes designing, improving, and testing everything we use on a daily basis. From bridges and roads to appliances and automobiles to smart phones and video games, engineers have a hand in creating objects we use constantly. During the camp, students will participate in daily hands-on activities that put them in the role of an engineer. Students will learn that great designs only come about through trial and error and perseverance.
