Customer Service-Receptionist  (part-time)

New College Institute (NCI) is seeking a part-time customer service receptionist with impressive communication and customer service skills.  

This is a non-benefited hourly wage position with a maximum of 29 hours per week. The Customer Service Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service support and completing general administrative tasks. This position serves as the first point of contact and works with students, faculty, and visitors of New College Institute. Customer Service Receptionist performs administrative duties including answering incoming phone calls, greeting visitors, fielding student inquiries, general administrative support, and other projects as assigned.

Communications Specialist

New College Institute (NCI) is seeking an out-going individual to serve as Communications Specialist.

This is a non-benefited hourly wage position with a maximum of 29 hours per week. This person will work with the Assistant Director of Academics and Communication to develop creative graphic designs, advertisements, publications, etc. to support NCI’s marketing and recruitment team. This person will also perform social media postings as they relate to media trends. This person will be instrumental in NCI’s media campaigns and monthly publications including newsletters.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Assistant Director of Academics and Communication to develop creative graphic designs, advertisements, publications, etc.
  • Execute the visual marketing deliverables for NCI
  • Create compelling visual designs for digital channels and print
  • Design and/or edit graphics, illustrations and other creative elements
  • Provide regular content for NCI’s social media accounts
  • Facilitate and manage NCI’s Instagram account with posts daily
  • Provide communication functions and materials on behalf of NCI (newsletters, publications, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highly self-motivated
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly become knowledgeable about the various degree programs
  • Interpersonal skills to develop & maintain rapport with faculty and staff.
  • Experience in communicating with the public, social media usage (particularly Instagram), and writing.
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholder groups effectively and efficiently
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Experience in graphic design with expertise in Mac OS, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign computer art programs
  • Proficient in print production and digital graphic design
  • Demonstrated experience in social media and social media strategies to support targeted marketing for student recruitment and enrollment
  • Professional experience in social media particularly Instagram

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
