Dear Prospective Candidate for a Master in Social Work:

 

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce that New College has partnered with Radford University to offer a master’s degree in social work. In spring of 2019, NCI and Radford will offer a pre-program elective entitled Substance Abuse and Dependency SWOK 615. This elective will serve as an introductory course for the Master’s program in Social Work that will be offered between March and May 2019 (students will determine the meeting frequency, dates and times). This elective will be accepted as part of the coursework for the Master’s program that will begin in Fall 2019. Additional information about the course is provided below.

 

Course Details and Description

  • Instructor: Dr. Sharon Jones
  • Instruction: Combination of Face-to-Face, Online, Video Conferencing
  • Meeting times: TBD but may include weekends, evenings, and online presence that will be discussed at the first class meeting time with all registered students
  • In-state tuition: $1,527
  • Out-of-state tuition: $2,649

  • Applications must be submitted by January 22, 2019 for consideration of admission.

 

  • Access the online graduate application by selecting the “College of Graduate Studies and

 

 

  • Review program and select Next at bottom of screen.

 

  • List college/university of most recent conferred degree. If the degree is from Radford, you do not need to send a hard copy of your transcript. Otherwise send your official transcript to Graduate Admissions, PO Box 6928, Radford, VA 24142 in the original envelope from your institution. For electronic transcripts request that your institution send the transcript to gradcollege@radford.edu

 

  • Other degree verifications may be sent to the address above.

 

  • Resumes, references, and essays are not required for non-degree enrollment, but you may upload the information that you would like to include on page 5 of your application.
