Facilities/Building Operations Manager
Hiring Range: $40,000 – 50,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Facilities Manager will oversee and maintain operations of the New College Institute’s facilities including the new 52,000 square foot building. This position is crucial to the operations of the agency, i.e. fixed asset inventory, maintenance contracts, custodial and security contracts, tracking custodial supplies and maintaining inventory of supplies. Responsibilities include maintain key system, alarm security systems, mechanical equipment and systems, and equipment inventory. Will handle special projects and investigations as assigned by the Executive Director and/or the Associate Director.
Required Competencies: Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications; ability to solicit cost estimates and inspect work performed by contractors; ability to monitor operating and maintenance budgets; ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner after hours.
Qualifications: Preference given with related education and trade certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and grounds keeping.
