Through funding from the New College Foundation, the New College Institute (NCI) is able to offer summer internship opportunities for students from Martinsville, Henry County, and Patrick County who are currently enrolled in college.  The program's purpose is to convince students that career opportunities are available for them locally.  Students must apply and meet certain criteria to qualify and each application is carefully reviewed by a committee to determine eligibility. Internships will take place between May 1 and September 15. Following are the students chosen for 2009 and their prospective employers.
