NCI is Virginia’s newest educational institution and state agency, established in 2006.  Already, over 300 students are enrolled and 86 students have completed degrees through NCI in our first three years of operation. But what is important is what we can do for you.

If you are a resident of the Martinsville – Henry County (Virginia) area, we can provide the last two years of your program to complete your bachelor’s degree.  Even if you’re not from the area, NCI may have a bachelor’s degree-completion program or a master’s degree that meets your needs.  Many of our programs are videoconferenced to sites throughout Southern Virginia and beyond. So, review our list of current programs (new ones are added regularly) to see what we offer.

Through our partner institutions, NCI will provide ten bachelor’s degree programs and seven master’s degree programs in 2009-10.  Several of the programs are cohorts or accelerated programs.  We offer an endorsement for teachers in ESL (English as a Second Language), as well as an Alternative Licensure program for current teachers with provisional certificates.  NCI also will offer a certificate program in Patient Counseling in 2009-10.
