NCI is Virginia’s newest educational institution and state agency, established in 2006.  But what is important is what we can do for you.

If you are a resident of the Martinsville – Henry County (Virginia) area, we can provide the last two years of your program to complete your bachelor’s degree.  Even if you’re not from the area, NCI may have a bachelor’s degree-completion program or a master’s degree that meets your needs.  So, review our list of current programs (new ones are added regularly) to see what we offer.

Through our partner institutions, NCI will provide eight bachelor’s degree programs (with courses toward a ninth) and five master’s degree programs in 2007 – 08.  Several of the programs are cohorts or accelerated programs.  We’ll also offer endorsements for teachers in Earth Science and ESL (English as a Second Language).

As a special, literally “once in a life-time opportunity” in 2007 – 08, NCI will provide 125 grants of $4,000 ($2,000 each semester) to 125 first-time undergraduate students who enroll at NCI during the academic year.  NCI’s mission is not only to make bachelor’s degree-completion programs accessible to students, but also to change the educational culture of the area.  We want you, as a resident, to know that higher education is for you, regardless of which college or university you choose to attend.  Let us help you get there.  Call us today with your questions.  We’ll even help you complete that intimidating financial aid application!
